Seeme Laleka’s blog is about using Non Traditional Teaching Methodologies. During her academic career she discovered the paucity of audio visual resources for Pakistani children, especially in the important arena of character and personality development. This together with her love for music and sense of creativity became the starting point of the mission and goal of her life; Creating Educational & Entertaining Resources for Children and Adolescents.

@Ilsa Khan, Thank You Ilsa for your lovely comment ,according to Confucius(551 BC – 479 BC) a famous Chinese philosopher & reformer we have a better understanding of things if we actually experience them .I totally agree with his saying “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand. ”

Learning is supposed to be fun and not something dull and boring ;to keep the interest of students alive we need to have variety in content ,teaching style and methodologies .
For active learning ,our classrooms have to be interactive where the students have the freadom and courage to discuss their views and ask questions .

Music ,puppets ,drama and roleplay are mediums that are used to make learning interesting and effective .

This is something we need to adopt in our Pakistani schools and open new horizons for both students and teachers

  4. Nice work, perhaps this is the thing we need for our new generation. We are flying to high and too fast into technology, fashion and modernization, and what we need right now is to be reminded of our origins, culture and traditions.
A good effort at reconciliation with our past, which may influence our present and help mold a bright, warm future. :)

Very impressive indeed. It is probably the most effective way of teaching and reconnecting with all that we have forgotten, our values, our culture and who we actually are.

  19. Music bands promotion, tools to create viral marketing campaigns…

Yes, our tools were design for Internet Marketing, but now we see record labels, promotion agents and established bands buying them. So the music promotion business in social media sites are changing again….
